The Bologna Accord aims to harmonise
40 different European higher education systems by creating a single system of
degrees (Bachelor and Master qualifications) within an agreed framework and
with a consistent credit and grading system.
A key objective is to
create a more competitive Europe
Bologna will therefore increase the
opportunities and choices of the ever growing pool of European students that
currently number over 2.4 million each year.
What these students do
post-Bachelor will have a significant impact for education and business.

Accord? To find out more, visit the Council of Europe's Bologna
